Temple Sholom is an egalitarian congregation affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. We are a small community (about 40 households) which values each member, celebrates each addition (whether through birth, moving into the area, or conversion) and feels the inevitable losses keenly . As the only synagogue in Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley, we have learned to accept and enjoy our wonderful diversity of personalities and religious backgrounds. Intermarried families and singles are very welcome.
Rabbi Shosh Dworsky travels from St. Paul one Shabbat per month. We have services, teaching and meals together on Friday nights, Saturday mornings and afternoons. We hold services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, hold a communal Seder on both Passover and Tu BiShevat and celebrate Hanukkah and Purim as a community. We are a community which enjoys celebrating together and which loves to discuss ideas.
