Today is December 18, 2017 -
There is an active Jewish Student Association (JSA) at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
There is a Facebook page for this group. Just request to be a member through the link below.
“The purpose of the Jewish Student Association (JSA) is to provide a sense of community and discussion opportunities for UW-Eau Claire students, faculty, and staff who are interested in Jewish life, culture, and tradition. We welcome students from all corners of life who believe in the importance of raising awareness about Judaism, and all of its aspects, on UWEC campus. As a religious cultural minority on campus, we recognize the diverse Jewish experiences students may bring with them to college. We believe that by sharing these experiences with other UWEC members, we will achieve a religious/cultural tolerance within the UWEC community, and beyond.” –Tom Gugel

Tom will be happy to add students to our JSA ; just send him an email. He keeps everyone informed about upcoming association events at UW, as well as Temple events. If you have a suggestion for an event, Tom is happy to hear about it.
Sheril Gilberstadt is the faculty advisor for the JSA and can be reached via email: GILBERSL@uwec.edu
The Temple Sholom Congregation is always available to support Jewish students on campus. We are happy to provide meals or transportation if needed. If your student is away from home for the first time, we have no shortage of Jewish Mamas willing to support our Jewish students. Jewish UW students are welcome to attend anything going on at the Temple; rides are no problem. We do not charge for High Holiday Services or any other programming; so money is never an issue. We love it when the JSA students want to get involved with programs going on within the Temple Community.
Just come join us and find your Chippewa Valley Family!
